Changing accountants needn’t be a leap of faith!
It may seem like a headache and a hassle…but in reality, changing accountants is simple and straightforward.
Why move to a practice of CIMA Management Accountants?
As a practice of Chartered Management Accountants, our focus is not just on preparing and submitting financial accounts and tax returns. Of course, we do fulfil all such statutory obligations as regards Companies House, HMRC, the Charities Commission (if applicable) and any other necessary regulatory bodies…but our professional qualifications as Chartered Management Accountants mean that we go the extra mile.
Financial accountants simply report financials, whereas the role of a management accountant is not just to present but also manage your accounting affairs. We provide comment on your accounts, pointing out any areas of concern and highlighting any opportunities for improvement. We’ll also offer advice to help you improve cashflow, recommend where you can save costs, bolster your credit rating, model your business operations, explore market opportunities and help you raise finance. Essentially, a CIMA Management Accountant in Practice is fully qualified to act as an outsourced Finance Director.
Unlike financial accountants, our viewpoint is both external and internal, the latter perspective being solely possible because CIMA accountants are required to obtain many years of first hand commercial experience to attain our Chartered Status. In other words, we’ve worked both alongside business and within business…..and we’re here to offer you the best of both worlds.
Concerned about changing accountants?
Our clients have been pleasantly surprised at the simplicity of the transition process – which we strongly feel is our remit to manage.
Firstly, upon engagement, we will contact your current accountant on your behalf outlining your decision to move your financial and taxation affairs to Evans Entwistle. We will also provide a template letter for you to sign to confirm.
Secondly, we will arrange for any of your books or records which your previous accountant holds to be transferred to us, along with copies of your recent accounts and tax computations.
Thirdly, we will advise HMRC and any other official bodies that we are now advising on your affairs and will register ourselves as your tax agent for all applicable taxes so that we can deal with any matters arising on your behalf. We can also offer our address as your company Registered Office and can act as Company Secretary for Limited Companies should you so wish, reducing your administrative burden even further.
In essence…you simply continue running your day to day operations, leaving us to ensure that your statutory obligations are fulfilled, your tax liability is minimised, and your profitability is maximised.
