The ideal candidate should possess the following:- At least 5 years previous experience of working in practice- Strong Microsoft Office skills with a deep practical knowledge of Excel- Conversant with commercial accounting packages such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero & TaxFiler

– Excellent written and verbal communication skills

– Confidence in dealing with clients of all sizes and across all sectors, as well as with regulatory bodies such as Companies House & HMRC

– Sound problem-solving and analytical thinking skills, with an eye for detail

– Flexible approach to work with the ability to adapt & effectively manage their own workload

Office Manager/Payroll Clerk

We have a Manager level vacancy in our Bristol office for a full time Office Manager/Payroll Clerk. We are offering an attractive salary package with 30 days holiday, private medical insurance, training opportunities and excellent career progression prospects for the right candidate.

Role Overview

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills:

– Previous experience in a similar role within a professional service organisation preferred

– Strong organisational and multi-tasking skills

– Exceptional communication, presentation and interpersonal skills

– A strong team player who works collaboratively and is a skilled relationship manager

– Passion for providing excellent client service

– Flexible with the ability to work effectively under pressure and manage conflicting priorities

– Strong attention to detail

– Ability to influence change and challenge existing procedures

– Experience of preparing weekly & monthly payrolls for up to 50 clients

– Experience of handling pensions and auto-enrolment matters and maintaining accurate payroll data

– Excellent understanding of legislative changes and statutory regulations

– Advanced MS Office skills (specifically Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
